How committed are you?

How committed are you to the organic movement? We just received a fantastic new yarn that's going to test everyone's attitude about that.
The yarn is from famed blanket-maker, Swans Island of Maine. It's made of certified organic Merino Wool from the USA. Spun in Maine, too. Even better, it's dyed using only natural dyes like indigo, cochineal, and madder, also using non-metallic mordants to go easy on the environment (and the dyers!). Besides the colors, they offer a white and a grey blend which contain 15% alpaca.
The 100 gram skein has 250 yards, and I'm knitting a nice cabled pattern on US9 needles. (I'll post a picture of the boy's vest when I finish it in a few days).
Now for the commitment part: yours and mine. The materials and the labor aren't cheap. The suggested retail price per skein is $30. Your commitment might help you come up to that price. We hope so. But our commitment is to lower that price to $25 per skein. This is our way of supporting this worthy fiber movement.
Of course once again my crappy picture doesn't do it justice, but you can't get the incredibly soft feel from a picture even if Ansel Adams took it!
